We understand that sending your own engineers to cover deep-field areas on a one-off basis can result in high mileage, time consuming journeys. We can cover these areas for you more economically, our engineers are closer, allowing us to react quicker and be more cost effective.

Abalon engineers can be utilised for every type of requirement – from a one-off job through to a multi-location, multi-week deployment programme. There is no minimum job volume or spending requirement so you’re always free to decide what level of outsourcing works best for you.

WORKSHOP REPAIR TECHNICIANS
Major UK Retailer

We support this customer with on-demand resource at their national repair centre, where they repair all faulty customer products.

Our service allows them to flex up their internal engineering team using our resource to cover short-term issues like holidays, sickness or medium term issues such as backlogs or refurbishment programmes, without affecting the repair turnaround times and customer service levels of their core business.

Workbench space in the repair centre can also be maximised by running a second shift, out-of-hours using on-demand resource.

FIELD-BASED BREAKFIX ENGINEERS
Managed Service Provider

This customer has their own internal team of field engineers that cover the vast majority of day-to-day requirements.

However, on occasions where they have limited availability due to sickness, holidays, sudden volume spikes or unfavourable locations they will utilise our on-demand service to meet these challenges.

We provide them breakfix engineers on a same-day basis throughout most of the UK and on a next-day basis in Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands.

SERVER UPGRADE AND COMMISSIONING
Major UK Retailer

This retailer was updating their in-store server hardware and simultaneously migrating to a new software platform.

This two stage project involved initially visiting sites to install the hardware during normal working hours and revisiting on a later date to oversee the migration.

The second phase required engineers to be onsite overnight while the remote build process took place, completing tests and reporting back to the customer’s team in the US throughout the night.
